“I miss you whenever we are apart because I don’t know what the next encounter will bring, and I want it to be better than the last.” (Thought Catalog)

“Worry not, everything is sound. This is the safest place you’ve found. The only noise beating out is ours. Lacing our teas from honey jars.” (The Lightning Strike, Snow Patrol)

I woke up to these cute little puppies this morning! These three are Labrador-German Shepherd mixed breeds; two are female and one male. They are only a month and two weeks old. My youngest brother got them from his classmate, and we’re keeping the male puppy (the one in all fours) because we already got two female dogs at home. My other brother just gave them a bath that’s why they look weird in the photos.

Here’s a short clip of the two female puppies after they’ve been given a bath:

Aren’t they adorable?

By the way, we haven’t thought of a name to give our new puppy.
What do you have in mind? :)

Added on 03 Nov 2012: We’ve decided to call our new puppy GUMBO! Dad wanted to call it Jumbo because it’s too big and cuddly, but thought Gumbo sounds more cute (though we named it after a restaurant). Hahaha!

DAY 11: A PHOTO OF YOU TAKEN RECENTLY

To me, this is a shameful post. I wouldn’t want to bombard you with pictures of myself because I am not comfortable with it. Only for the sake of today’s challenge, I will share with you the most recent photo of myself taken from a family friend’s birthday celebration:

Aleth and Jae
Conti’s | 29 September 2012

There’s no special story behind this photo. Aleth, by the way, is my childhood family friend. On this day, however, everyone was surprised to see how much weight I’ve lost. Most of them last saw me in December 2010, while some have seen me recently at my grandfather’s wake in May, so the difference was evident.

Apologies if there’s not much I’d share on today’s topic. Did I bore you? Yeah? I got bored with myself, too.

30-DAY BLOGGING CHALLENGE
DAY 10: A PHOTO OF YOU TAKEN TEN YEARS AGO

I was only asked to share with you a photo of myself taken ten years ago; however, as I was looking for the perfect photo, I found these! Let me share with you some baby pictures of myself between the age of one and three. Look at those chubby cheeks!

Okay, modesty aside, I know those were cute. Gone are the days when it was natural for me to pose in front of camera without feeling awkward. Speaking of awkward, allow me now to share with you some photos of myself in high school a.k.a the awkward years. I don’t expect you to like them, but I don’t anticipate you to not laugh at them either!

Yes, I used to wear horrendous, baggy clothes! And yes, I always wear my hair in a ponytail because I don’t like to wear my hair down when it’s short. DON’T JUDGE ME! Oh, I can’t wait for tomorrow’s challenge! Hahaha!

DAY 9: A PHOTO YOU TOOK

Today’s challenge made me think if there’s one decent photo I took that is worth sharing. I, then, realized that most of the pictures I have were taken from my [crappy] phone camera, so I looked into my files for a photo with a story behind  why I took it. Lo and behold, I found these shots from a lunar eclipse on 09 February 2009.

This was taken during our senior year in college. We were busy working on our thesis paper that day, thus we didn’t know that something phenomenal was going on in the astronomical sense. I only realized this when I got home from school that night, and noticed that the moon was unusually bright. Learning from my brothers about the celestial occurrence, I had out telescope set up from our roof deck in order to get a closer view of the moon.

I am not a moonchild, but I have a special admiration for the moon. There is something about this heavenly body that I find mysterious. I like it most when the moon is bright and full. You may find this corny, but a full moon reminds me of this quote from the movie, Dear John:

No matter where you are in the world, the moon is never bigger than your thumb.

—John Tyree, Dear John (2010)
